Kigali Up festival artiste line up keeps getting bigger and bigger, now Nairobi’s finest music group Sauti Sol will be joining the likes of Eddy Kenzo performing at this weekend’s mega music festival in Kigali, Rwanda.

The Kenyan band will be performing in this year’s Kigali Up festival going down July 25th-26th at Amahoro National Stadium in the Rwandan capital.

Gentleman and Sura Yako singer together with a bunch of local, regional and international artistes are expected on stage to entertain, network as well as share their experiences with Rwandan upcoming musicians.

Speaking to Kigali KT Radio recently the festival organizer Mighty Popo confirmed the boys from Nai will be part of the mix.

“Sauti Sol is coming, fans in Kigali better get ready for some fun,” Popo said

Popo says the four boy-band will thrill fans with live music, a staple for the annual festival that will be celebrating its 5th anniversary this weekend.

Sauti sol is a Kenyan Afro-pop band formed in Nairobi by vocalists Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano and Delvin Mudigi in 2005, initially as an acapella group, guitarist Polycarp Otieno later completed the band membership.

Sauti Sol released their debut studio album Mwanzo in August 2009, their second studio album, Sol Filosofia dropped two years later, winning the group a number of accolades and nominations.

The band has had successful tours in Europe as well as in Africa, topped Kenyan charts and gained international attention with shows in Europe and the US.

The boys have been nominated for the high profile BET awards, MTVbase Afrimma among others.
