Barely a month after unveiling 35 ministers to head 18 ministries, Tanzanian President John Magufuli on Wednesday made a number of changes in the government’s top line-up, appointing new permanent secretaries, transferring some and retiring others.

Announcing the new line-up at the State House in Dar es Salaam, the Tanzanian leader, retained Ambassador Ombeni Sefue as the Chief Secretary, and moved Dr. Florens Turuka from the Prime Minister’s Office to Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries while Peter Ilomo was posted to State House.
