Tanzania and East Africa’s celebrated artiste Diamond Platnumz real name Nasimu Abdu is showing some respect and admiration to UK-based Rwandan Afro beat star Kitoko Bibirwa.

The duo took part in the just concluded Concert/Campaign “Stop Abino Killings” in the UK, the show that was meant to raise awareness about the killing of Albino people for ritualistic purposes, this scourge has tainted Tanzania’s image.

After watching Kitoko perform his popular Urukundo (Love) song to the hundreds of thrilled fans, Diamond Platnumz, The Channel O award winner couldn’t keep the excitement to himself he took to Intagram and posted a video showing revelers enjoying Kitoko’s performance.

Speaking to this website on phone, Kitoko was “thrilled at the same time surprised and we discussed future music projects with Diamond Platnumz.”

Both artistes were invited by Tanzania-UK based community in the ongoing campaign against witchcraft inspired killings of Albinos in rural Tanzania.

Diamond is one of the bestselling artistes in Africa and perhaps number one in East Africa following his last year’s sell out concerts in Berlin, UK, US, South Africa and Russia.

The Ukimuwona singer is regarded as an icon in his country for popularizing TZ tunes across the region and beyond. He is one of the celebrated music stars in the region and he has been nominated for BET Awards in the International Act category.

And who can forget his romance with Zari Hassan, South Africa-based Ugandan musician and model, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to equate the lovebirds to Kanye and Kim in terms of paparazzi magnate and tabloid sensation, and their unique fashion stlye.
