Sitya loss singer Edrisi Musuza stage name Eddy Kenzo has won BET’s Viewer’s Choice “Best International” award. The award show is going down at the moment in Los Angeles, California, USA.

This award is the first of its kind on the Amer Kenzo beat international heavy weights South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest, United Kingdom’s MIC Lowry, George the Poet and Novelist and Ghana’s Dancehall Queen MzVee

Eddy Kenzo early Sunday posted pictures of himself enjoying pre-awards show in Los Angeles where big stars like Ice Cube warmed the house.

“Jetted well in Los Angeles for BET awards ceremony and it’s all about God and my fans across the globe,” Kenzo posted on Facebook and Instagram.

Before heading to the US, Kenzo stopped in Kigali for a video shoot with Rwanda’s singer Tom Close for the duo’s song Zero Distance.

Uganda’s and now international new kid on the bloc almost missed the show as he missed his flight but later managed to get hop on another flight and made it to L.A. just in time for the party.

Last week before BET shut down voting on twitter and instagram, Kenzo was leading with over 16,000 votes followed by Ghana’s Mzvee.

Although he has performed on world stage like the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, no doubt this is Kenzo’s first major international break, rubbing shoulders with hip hop A-list artistes in no easy fit.

I am a Uganda living in the US for almost 30 years. I am proud of you. Your song would be a G rate and yet very interesting and entertaining. thank you.
I have seen several versions of your song but the best so far was the “country music” style one :) The words are a bit so so but the beat is goooood.
    Congs Kenzo
