East Africa’s finest guitarist Maurice Kirya is set to perform in Rwanda during the 5th edition of popular music concert dubbed Jazz Function.
The Misubawa singer will be the guest artiste of the night and he is already preparing for the massive performance. The gigantic show is slated to go down this Friday at Serena Hotel in the Rwandan capital, Kigali.

“Am already rehearsing for the big show to thrill my Kigali fans and they should expect nothing but live and quality music prepared by Maurice,” the singer said of the upcoming gig.

Kirya has represented Uganda and East African region in various international music festivals.
Back home, Maurice is a renowned musician, humanitarian and a business man.

He runs a number of business entities including Kampala’s coffee joint The Sound Cup. For starters, Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong’o dined here with friends on her recent trip to Kampala as she worked on her movie, Queen of Katwe.

This will be the third time for Maurice Kirya staging a show in the land of 1000 hills and this time he will have the platform all to himself.

Last year on International peace day, the Never Been Loved singer was in Rwanda with various artistes including Nigerian BET winner rapper Ice Prince with whom he corroborated.
Kigali Jazz function is a monthly live music show bringing together local bands and musicians to showcase their talent.
